This makes my third thrifted picnic basket. I think my habit is on the verge of getting out of hand. But when you see how much this fun little guy costed, you’ll see why I couldn’t pass it up.
See more after the jump!
This wicker picnic basket ($3) was a hidden gem. Literally. It was under a table in the furniture section just asking to be snatched up. I especially enjoy the woven pattern on the broad side of the basket and the floral strap, which adds a touch of whimsy and surprise.
How perfect are these framed, hand embroidered floral art pieces ($1 each)? They could add a pop of character and color on a gallery wall, for example.
Not only does this gold picture frame ($3) go with my living room color scheme, it’s got layers of awesomeness. It’s also a substantially solid piece. Man, they don’t make them like they used to.
This chunky oversized cardigan ($1.50) is ripe for layering. Turtleneck? Button-down? All is fair in love and werk! Also, this piece was significantly discounted. Sweaters were 50 percent off that day!
Don’t sleep on this elaborate, bold pattern — not to mention the snazzy jewel buttons. Super retro! I’m looking forward to rocking this with some skinny jeans and boots on a cloudy day.
Grand total: $10.08
