This Thrifted Thursday features the most darling retro pieces you’ve ever seen from Treasure Hunt in Long Beach, and one unique piece that I’ve repurposed into wall art. See them in all their glory after the jump!
This Thrifted Thursday I provide just a glimpse of the great thrift finds I spotted while out on Retro Row in Long Beach. You don’t need the luck of the Irish (it’s St. Patrick’s Day, in case you missed it) to get your hands on some great finds while getting your secondhand shop on. You just have to open your eyes and explore. Pro tip: Check the displays. Sometimes the trinkets spotted on shelves are there to show off the owner’s interior decorating prowess, but you’d be surprised at how many of those quirky, one-of-a-kind items are actually for sale. Don’t be shy! If you see something, you fancy, ask about it. Anyway, click through the slideshow to see a handful of gems I came across during that recent thrift store jaunt.

As you know, I’m an avid thrifter, which means that my closet is constantly expanding. Plus, I never throw anything away because why? Surely it’ll be back in style again and/or it’s a timeless classic that has no expiration date. I love all my pieces, but things were getting out of hand. I mean, clothes were everywhere in my room, bringing clutter to a space that should be serene and clean. So something had to give. I knew what I needed to do but it took my bestie stopping short of throwing all my clothes into garbage bags for me to finally start purging my closet. Even still it’s hard to process. This past weekend I donated several pieces to my local Salvation Army. Because parting is such sweet sorrow, I had to pause to remember some of my favorite items that I had to let go. See what they are after the jump!
