Fancy Things Friday

June 10, 2016

This Fancy Things Friday contains a fresh batch of swoon-inducing goods and wares. Check them out here:

1. Giddy up! These Knot A Cowgirl Faux Suede Booties are enough to make me want to do my best boot scootin’ boogie. Rock these pieces of fiesty foot candy with some skinny denim or a flirty skirt. (gojane.com)

2. My girl Melody Ehsani has done it yet again with these dazzling Eye in Eye Stud Earrings. Don’t fret! These evil eyes will keep you safe against the jealous glances that are sure to come your way. As a matter of fact, give the haters something to talk about by putting these bold earrings on display with your hair in a top knot. Boop! (shop.nylon.com)

3. How darling is this Unique Vintage 1950s High Waist Flamingo Circle Swing Skirt? I can’t even. Oh, the places you’ll go in this sweet skirt. Dressed up or down, this fun little number will have you feeling as free as a bird. (unique-vintage.com)

4. I’ve got just the thing for all you artsy types: this stunning Abstract Printed Pencil Skirt. A work of art, I know. Clearly, the designers at Forever 21 had a stroke of genius with this one. So many potential looks, so little time. But I can see myself pairing this piece with a crop top layered under a moto jacket with some leather booties, and, to throw things off a bit, a bright eye and a nude lip. (forever21.com)

5. I’m so here for this Over the Line Striped Romper, hook, line and sinker. The trifecta of beige, black and white make this striped beauty all the more stylish. And the plunging neckline steps up the sass. A hidden perk is the exposed back, perfect for ripping and running on a summer’s day (or night). (nastygal.com)

1. Do it for the ‘Gram, the Vine, the ‘Tube or whatever else strikes your fancy with this Selfie Camera Bag by Melie Bianco. Make this fun crossbody bag the central focus of your look, and you’ve got yourself a picture-perfect ensemble. Selfie sticks are more than welcome! (meliebianco.com)

2. Roial redefines royalty with these edgy Charcoal Earrings. Show that you’re on some queen ish by daring to wear these bold earrings, which mix gritty charcoal with charming gold. (karmaloop.com)

3. Speaking of royal things, whether you go with the Adriatic Royal or the Luxe Orange that’s pictured above, this Clare Skirt from New York & Company’s Eva Mendes Collection will have you looking and feeling all kinds of regal. Don’t be alarmed. The sudden influx of curtsies and head nods are just a byproduct of your majestically splendid outfit. (nyandcompany.com)

4. I’m so glad I discovered Habitually Fly, a brand dedicated to honoring African and African-American culture and heritage. Well, the company really stays true to its mission with this mad decent That Melanin Though Tee. This tee combines style with a sense of humor and, most importantly, embodies the unhindered sense of pride that I have in my beautiful roots. (habituallyfly.com)

5. Do people find wristwear attractive? If so, you’ll be seen as a total fox with this Kate Spade New York Metro – Wild One Leather Strap Watch. The little creature peeking out at the top of the watch’s face inspires whimsy and adventure. And don’t sleep on the spade at the 12 o’clock mark. We see what you did there, Kate. (nordstrom.com)

1. I am absolutely head-over-heels in love with these Jeffrey Campbell In Love Leather D’Orsay Flats. Why, you ask? The two-toned dynamic duo of tan and black. You can never go wrong. Obvi. (urbanoutfitters.com)

2. Artitzia advises that this Sunday Best Dashner Dress be saved for when you’re feeling particularly coquettish, and I concur! The flowy cap sleeves and fit-and-flare silhouette are particularly flirty. Hey, boys! (aritzia.com)

3. It rained a good amount (well, at least for Southern California in the tail end of summer) earlier this week, and for the first time in a long time, I didn’t know what to wear. Not a good predicament to be in at 5 a.m., scrambling to get dressed and out the door for work. But I digress. I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that fall, and chillier weather, is upon us. However, this swanky Mono Check Duster Jacket actually has me looking forward to autumn and winter. Plus, the vintage feel is an added bonus. I spy small pockets of houndstooth! (missselfridge.com)

4. Look like a walking masterpiece in this stunningly abstract Brush It Off Painted A-Line Midi Skirt. It paints a lovely picture of a avant-garde statement piece that commands attention. (gojane.com)

5. Way to play the wild card with these fun Leopard-Print Slacks, H&M! The possibilities are endless with these pants: day or night, work or play, heels or flats, neutrals or a pop of red — you catch my drift. (hm.com)

1. Cue up “America the Beautiful” and throw on your best red sundress, ’cause these nautical Striped Slip-On Shoes will have you in a Fourth of July state of mind. But they’ll look just as lovely with some high-waisted shorts or a denim skirt. (cosstores.com)

2. Sometimes less is more. Raise the bar with these dainty Small Bar Studs, which can be worn every day. (stories.com)

3. If these tropical-themed Pari Print High Waisted Shorts don’t get you jazzed about summer, I don’t know what will. These shorts were made for lounging cabana-side with a piña colada in hand. (whistles.com)

4. Just as the picture suggests, this Clayton Dress by Babaton is easy and breezy! Teal is such a flattering color, and I’m not ashamed to admit that my obsession with it just won’t go away. This little number is simple enough to wear with some flats around the office, but has just enough pizzaz to dress up with some strappy heels and a textured clutch. (aritzia.com)

5. This midi Patterned Skirt by H&M brings a ton of color and flair that you don’t need to add much else to your outfit. A plain white or black tee with some sandals will do the trick. (hm.com)

1. All that glitters is not gold, but in this case, these heart-shaped earrings are simply golden. The fact that these Chloe Heart Studs by Gorjana have a rich texture and welcomed imperfections places them at the top of my wishlist.(revolveclothing.com)

2.Speaking of texture, this Dorothy Perkins Toffee Brown Large Satchel Bag plays with an assortment of it, from the smooth leathery winged sides, to the crocodile peeking out at the bottom, to the gold buckle tying it all together. (dorothyperkins.com)

3. There’s just something about this deep blue hue that has my heart at the moment. This Short Seamed Jacket With Zip from Zara is straight to the point, and I’m all for the no-nonsense approach to fashion. (zara.com)

4. It’s about time I gave the boot to my all-too-predictable flats, in favor of these Taupe Faux Leather Thigh High Riding Boots. Why not live on the edge with these daringly tall wedges? I can already think of at least five ways to style them, which means I may as well go ahead and add them to my fall repertoire. (cicihot.com)

5. This Blue Textured Pleat Midi Skirt just exudes the studious, lady-like, daydreamer and maven vibe — all at the same time. And this shade of blue is a force to be reckoned with. (glamorous.com)

1. Calling all bookworms! I’ve found something that’ll make your heart skip a beat. That’s exactly what happened when I laid eyes on this Upcycled Book Lamp from Wolfgar Handmade. Look, kids. Reading can be fun while being fundamental. (etsy.com)

2. Is it back-to-school shopping season yet? LOL. That used to be my favorite time of year in my youth (#nerdalert). Well, if I was still a student, this Women’s Loose Leaf Notebook Paper Print T-Shirt would be at the top of my list. The letter-writing advocate in me just may cop this one, for good measure. (scoutmob.com)

3. Kate Spade just keeps it coming with the hits! The Photo Finish Milo bag is my jam of the moment. (katespade.com)

4. Topshop takes us to the tropics with its Leaf Print Spliced Midi Skirt. Throw on a crop top and you’re ready for a piña colada nightcap. (topshop.com)

5. On your sleeve. On your back. Wherever you wear your heart, I’m sure it can’t top this Heart Cutout Top from Haute Rogue. It’s sweet and daring all it once, and that’s what makes me love it! (hauterogue.com)
