1. In the words of the lovely Ms. Lauryn Hill, “Ooh la la laaaa, it’s the way that we rock when we’re doing our thing.” That has absolutely nothing to do with this sweet Large Ooh La La Denim Pouch — just a random segue for a darling accessory that I’d love to rock. (

2. With a name like “Fantasia,” it’s easy to see why this Ring is pure magic! This ring is gold plated with a brass base and druzy stone, and it’s simply dreamy. Don’t you agree? (

3. These Wide Leg Pants With Buttons scream nautical. Taking the lead from the model, I’d go full-on sailor and pair these hot pants with some horizontal stripes. Just call me Captain Ash-hab. (

4. This V Neck Florals With Bow Jumpsuit makes me want to sip a piña colada and lounge poolside like I’m on holiday in the Tropics. Short and carefree, this playsuit comes in prime time for summer madness. (

5. This Koshka Denim Flare Dress by Mink Pink is making me love the ’90s all over again! This fun ensemble would have been a smash hit at my friends’ recent ’90s-themed party. All that’s missing is a pair of jellies. Da bomb diggety, no doubt! (

You may or may not know this about me, but I’m kinda obsessed with buttons. Give me a button and I’ll find a home for it — guaranteed! They can take a simple garment to an all-new level, as evidenced by the way I decorated this thrifted Levi’s denim jacket. See the full look after the jump!

1. Zara is giving me full-on springtime sass with these Leather High Heeled Sandals With Bow. I live! (

2. A lovely tribute to legendary African-American songstresses Lena Horne, Dorothy Dandridge, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and Etta James, this Queens Tee from Hayes Denim Co. offers many styling possibilities. Maxi skirt? Colorful denim? Yes, please! But however you choose to style it, be sure to wear it proudly–we come from great stock! (

3. I know I can always count on Morning Lavender for simple, darling apparel. Such is the case with this gorgeous Amelia Full Blue Maxi Skirt, which reminds me of serene oceans and the fact that I’m long overdue for a tropical getaway. (

4. This Skater Dress by My Asho Market is a thing of beauty, crafted with fabric straight outta Nigeria and Ghana. With such a vibrant, unique pattern, this number would be perfect for a summer wedding or an elaborate dinner party. (

5. Everything’s coming up roses with this super sweet Cut-Out Rose Print Dress from Topshop. Pair this stunning dress with a red lip and rosy accessories, and you’ve got a stylish take on the red, white and blue that are a hallmark of Independence Day. Yes, I’m already looking ahead to the summer holiday. Don’t sleep on the Fourth of July, folks. (

1. I spy with my little eye this wildly eccentric Essentiel Perspex Eye Clutch. The streets will definitely be watching with this clutch in your hands or on your shoulder. And while they’re looking, give them something to talk about by pairing this purse with a fierce outfit. (

2. Friends! Spring has finally arrived! Not only are these Fine Dining Heels in Watercolor perfectly crafted, they possess the essence of springtime: fresh, bright, vibrant, energizing. These fun numbers deserve more than fine dining, as their name suggests. (

3. Isn’t she a beaut? The model is cute, but I’m talking about this stunning True Violet Structured Painted Floral Print Maxi Dress With High Low Hem. I could even see this as a wedding dress for an alternative bride. (

4. Long live the Dancing Girls emoji! Now my favorite text-messaging symbol can be used to add some flair to any and all of my outfits. Thanks, Valley Cruise for bringing this darling BFF Lapel Pin into my life. May we never forget the time my pal, Zita, and I dressed like these quirky characters for 826LA’s Dance-a-thon. (

5. I’m feeling the breezy, springtime vibes from this bright yellow Draped Dress. It makes me wanna soak up the sunshine, which has been plentiful, as of late. Yes, Lord! (

1. It’s like Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde with these Half and Half Quilted Front Jeans from Go Jane. From the back, these look like your run-of-the-mill skinny jeans, but the front is full frontal with loads of sass. (

2. Gold and cubic zirconia go hand in hand in these dainty Melinda Maria Remy Gold White CZ Pod Stud Earrings. I’m a huge fan of the perfectly imperfect shape of the triangles, which are quite endearing and elegant. (

3. Exclusive to Mossman Clothing, The Epitome Of Stealth Skirt is as sly as a leopard waiting to pounce on its prey. Be the fiercest belle of them all in this super fun piece. (

4. Sometimes you just gotta let the boo-la-la-las know what’s up. I think they’ll get the memo with this Lovers + Friends Hello Lover Sequin Graphic Pullover. I personally would layer this sweater with a collared shirt and throw on a pair of patterned pants, just to stunt a little. (

5. New Look’s Blue Floral Print Dial Watch will do wonders for keeping you on time and on point all year round. (

“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30

I finally wore this lovely floral-print dress — probably one of my favorite thrift finds of all time — to a family friend’s 60th birthday. The dress came with a thick belt with the same pattern, but I decided to go off script and add a thin studded belt that fit perfectly with my thrifted heels and gold knot studs. I must say, this look was a crowd pleaser!

1. Turn heads in this fluorescent MinkPink Temple Romper that just screams “summer madness.” We hear you loud and clear! (

2. Keep your eyes on the prize, whatever it may be, in these snazzy Sunpocket Samoa Sunglasses. I’m partial to the dark tortoise hue pictured here, but the crystal greys go just as hard. And the best part about these shades is they fold! The perfect answer to a girl’s wish of a less bulky purse. (

3. There’s something off about this Multicolor Long Sleeve Graffiti Print Dress that makes it on, if that makes any sense. This wearable piece of art is bold enough to do allll the talking for one outfit. (

4. Leave it to Kenzo to make sequins super stylish. This Blue Embroidered & Sequined Fish Jacquard Sweatshirt is far from gaudy, but is just the right blend of flair and simplicity. (

5. Tiptoe through the tulips in these Floral Canvas Lace Up sneakers from You Must Create. Throw on these to brighten up any ensemble, if you dare. (
