1. This Alexis Lace Crop Top looks super regal! But I like the idea of pairing it with some denim shorts for day, or a high-waisted midi skirt for night. So many options! (intermixonline.com)

2. Whether you use this Monki Casja Case as a coin purse or as a tiny clutch, it certainly packs a pleasant pop of color that would add some personality to any drab look. (monki.com)

3. Great news, ladies. The days are longer now that Daylight Saving Time is in full effect, which means summertime will be here before we know it! Yippee skippy! I’ve already started eyeing playsuits, and this Abstract Splash Printed Wrap Front Romper is definitely in the running. (axparisusa.com)

4. And so is this Lenny Playsuit from Verge Girl. The deep-V neckline and bow accent present offers I just can’t refuse! (vergegirl.com)

5. Wear your heart on your sleeve, even if it’s tiny, not unlike the ones found in this scoop-neck Mini Heart Shirred Blouse. (loft.com)

Ashley Adores’ Favorite Things: WeWOOD’s Timepieces

December 9, 2014

From a fashion standpoint, men’s watches have long been on my radar, but there’s something unique about WeWOOD’s Timepieces. What makes WeWOOD watches so special is that they’re made from premium wood, and for every watch sold, a tree is planted. That’s pretty awesome and quite commendable, given the state of our planet. WeWOOD works domestically with American Forests, the oldest national nonprofit conservation organization that protects America’s forests, and collaborates internationally with Trees for the Future, which has planted more than 65 million trees in 30 countries.

“We want to plant 1 million trees by 2020 and another million in the 20 years after that,” WeWOOD’s Ryan Alexander told Forbes. “It’s so exciting to do business and also make a difference. We’ve planted 50,000 trees in Ghana, 7,500 in Texas, 5,000 in the Bitterroot National Forest of Montana and Idaho, and more. There’s a lot of deforestation and devastation out there so every bit of relief helps.”

This two-toned Jupiter Beige-Brown Watch is twice as nice with its dual Miyota movements. Plus, you can’t argue with a timepiece that’s made of 100 percent natural wood, and free from artificial and toxic materials.

1. I’ve always felt lucky to be born in July because my birthstone is ruby, the most beautiful gemstone, in my personal opinion. And it appears my luck may have just improved because I discovered these Ruby Red and Swarovski Stud Earrings from the Etsy shop, Petite Delights by Iloniti. These are like the cherry on top of any outfit, and totally remind me of Christmastime. (etsy.com)

2. “Be silly. Be honest. Be kind.” Now that’s my kind of mantra. This darling little Itty Bitty Be Silly Bowl from Aoki Boutique is perfect for holding rings or earrings, or even organizing loose change. This design accent is both functional and quite fun. (aokiboutique.com)

3. Ah, to be wrapped up in this super cozy, heather grey Reverse Herringbone Pullover on a chilly autumn day. This Merino wool sweater from Madewell looks how a warm hug feels. Sign me up! (madewell.com)

4. Looking like a stylish, put-together professional could be as simple as putting on this sleek Cream Pussybow Tweed Jumpsuit. It transitions well from day to night, or “from desk to dinner,” as River Island puts it. (riverisland.com)

5. This stunning Sequins of Events Tribal Bustier from Go Jane already has me dreaming of New Year’s Eve. My ideal sequence of events in this feisty, festive little number? Good music, erratic dancing, the company of loved ones and priceless memories. (gojane.com)

Ashley Adores’ Favorite Things: Warby Parker Winter 2014 Collection

November 4, 2014

Oprah’s not the only one who can claim faves! I’m getting in on the fun too by highlighting one pick a week from a clothing and/or accessories brand that I adore, and that gives back to the community. After all, the giving season will be upon us before we know it.

First up is none other than Warby Parker, the purveyor of “meticulously crafted” eyewear that I have long admired for its abundance of stylish frames.

The New York-headquartered brand’s Winter 2014 Collection features some lovely optical frames (looking at you, Talbot), but being that I’m an unabashed California girl, I’m particularly fond of the Laurel sunglasses in Oak Barrel.

First of all, go ‘head, team natural (I always applaud diversity in choice of models)! Second, these Laurel frames are everything that I could ask for in a pair of shades: sleek and fun, with a smidge of sass. Simply put, they’re so “me.” Not to mention, I can think of a hundred ways to style them. Chambray long sleeve? But of course. All black everything? Definitely. A pop of red lipstick and vintage heels? Please and thank you!

I was pretty much sold on the tortoise shell-colored frames (you know it’s hard for me to turn down a nice tortoise shell). That was, of course, until I laid eyes on the two-toned Tea Rose Fade version, which totally reminds me of neapolitan ice cream, for some strange reason. Tough choices here!

Aside from the Laurel shades, I’m also really digging the Reilly sunglasses. With its cool, Sparrow Grey color, it’s the perfect fit for a winter collection.

Browse more of Warby Parker’s Winter 2014 Collection sunwear and eyeglasses styles, and I promise you’ll want to leave with more than one pair. They’re just that perfect.

As always, these frames are a part of Warby Parker’s Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program. Can you believe they’ve distributed 1 million pairs of glasses to people in need? Yet another reason I’m a huge fan of Warby Parker.

1. Hey there, herringbone! This Natalee printed loafer is a versatile fall shoe. But you know me. The bow brings it home. (solesociety.com)

2. Grey can be kind of blah, but not this Braid Textured Sweatshirt from Mango. Far from it, actually. I’m head over heels for this braided number. (mango.com)

3. Way to class it up, by the way. This Champagne Long Sleeve Dress gets major points for the alluring color, the dainty lace fabric, the scalloped hem, and the belt. I basically just described the entire dress. Hey, you can’t help what you love. (oasap.com)

4. Now that’s a combo you don’t see often: grey and floral print. I like your style, Obey Seygrid Crew Grey Floral Print Sweater. (lulus.com)

5. This Leanna Satchel is a bag with great bones, perfect for hauling a bunch of stuff on the inside but carrying an air of sophistication on the outside. (shoplately.com)

2. Alice and Olivia’s Piano Bag infuses playfulness and style in this über-unique across-the-body bag. I’ve got the sudden urge to play “Chopsticks,” by the way. (aliceandolivia.com)

3. The label True Decadence at ASOS says it all. This True Decadence Tall Strappy Colour Block Jumpsuit is just that: truly decadent! So many styling options flood my mind when I see something as polished and charming as this. (asos.com)

4. I say “faux sho” to this Faux Leather Pleated Skirt from Forever 21. Someone get me a knit top and a red lip STAT! (forever21.com)

5. Doesn’t this sweater remind you that it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood? Well, don’t mind me while I get my Mr. Rogers on in this preppy BB Dakota Galena Cardigan. Cute sweaters like this soften the blow that fall will be upon us in no time. (shopbop.com)

2. Put a spell on the passersby with this dazzling silver and gold Hex Curb Link Necklace. (cwonder.com)

3. This Iris Dress has quickly become the apple of my eye. The cut-out takes this dress from average to amazing, and the stripes add a certain spunk. (tobi.com)

4. New York, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles — the world’s not ready for this other-worldly Two Tone Sweater! (stussy.com)

5. What a good look this New Look Pink Contrast Twist Lock Bag is. Whether worn across the body or as a clutch, this bag will make any outfit complete. (newlook.com)

1. Have style, will travel! I’ve gotten a serious case of wanderlust, but since my bank account won’t permit me to see the world at the moment, this Alviero Martini 1a Classe Oblong Scarf will have to do. (yoox.com)

2. Mint, I just can’t quit you! This minty fresh Layla Clutch is a lovely sight to behold. (oliverbonas.com)

3. I say “heck yes!” to this Beccgirl Zip-Front Paisley-Patterned Playsuit from YesStyle. I refuse to believe that summer is coming to a close. Nope. Don’t wanna hear it. Therefore, I’ll wear my shorts and rompers like there’s no tomorrow. (yesstyle.com)

4. Since I have no need to back-to-school shop any more, I’ll just imagine I’m giving my 14-year-old self a gift. These Champion Polka Dot Lace kicks in raspberry pink get an A+ in my book. Also, Keds has free shipping and up to 50 percent off its summer styles. Get in there! (keds.com)

5. Greetings and salutations, Miss Selfridge (*does curtsy)! I’m way late to the party on this site, but I’m pleased to have met her acquaintance. First order of business: making this Pattern Skater Dress mine. (missselsfridge.com)

1. Why, hello. Any man in his right mind would be pleased to make your acquaintance while wearing this Red Sleeveless Open Scallop Back Pleated Dress. Let the head turning begin. (sheinside.com)

2. What’s not to love about these Steve Madden Elusion Leopard Pony Fur D’Orsay Flats? My only complaint is that they’re not on my feet right now. (lulus.com)

3. I’d like to think of the creator of jewelry brand Spike the Punch as modern-day Willy Wonka (albeit more fashion savvy and easier on the eyes) because choosing which color Rainey Necklace you want is like being a kid in a candy store. So many options to pick from, all of them delicious. It’s too bad they’ve all been devoured (out of stock), but a girl can dream, right? (shopspikethepunch.com)

4. Unlock Hope Uganda is a brand with a message that the world needs to hear. When you purchase this Be The Good Unisex Crew — or any other tee, tank or necklace — the proceeds cover all expenses necessary for supporting girls in poverty-stricken Uganda in their pursuit of an education. (unlockhope.com)

5. Maybe you fancy yourself a Soul Sister. Perhaps a Love Child. No matter what you’re feeling, Cleobella’s Neon Orange Stamped Tassel Bracelet makes a statement. (cleobella.com)
