This Outfit of the Night is another from the many birthday celebrations I’ve enjoyed over the past couple of weeks. Birthday month! Woop woop! My pal, Briana, treated me to dinner at The Attic in Long Beach to commemorate this new year of life. Seriously, run, don’t walk. A Flaming Hot Cheetos crumble on all the macaroni and cheeses? Yes, please! But I digress. See the full evening ensemble after the jump!
“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts …” Acts 2:46
You have no idea how much I live for sharing a good meal with good friends. It was so great to break bread with Bri on a recent Sunday evening. I’d been meaning to connect with her and I’m glad we did it over delicious food. We had lots to catch up on, and my heart (and belly) was full with all the love. Speaking of full bellies, this denim mini dress, though on the shorter side, provides lots of give when wolfing down food. That night we feasted on a yummy warm spinach salad topped with a sunny side egg, an off-the-charts chicken and sausage gumbo, and that aforementioned spectacular bacon and jalapeño mac and cheese. To class up the denim, which can skew a little casual, I paired it with my favorite statement necklace (accentuated by the faux sweetheart neckline I created by zipping down the zipper a smidge) gifted by my sisterfrand Sierra for Christmas, my new open-toed (and very comfy) heeled sandals from Lulu’s and my old-faithful bow clutch, which was gifted to me many moons ago by good friend Andrea. The patio at The Attic was rife with vibrant colors and bold shapes that paired nicely with my outfit.
