“Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” Proverbs 4:26

My mom, sister and nephew were in my neck of the woods for my mom’s company picnic, for Sunrise Senior Living, at El Dorado Regional Park in Long Beach. My brother, Rob, even made an appearance. We were situated near the lake, and it was a joy to see families riding paddle boats and observing the ducks frolic. I kept it casual on that breezy Sunday. I’m glad the skirt had a little bit of give on it, since we were basically binge eating all the free food from the food trucks. Full bellies, family, fun — my kind of party. One of the highlights was riding the train with my nephew and sister, which showcased “the dark side of the old west,” as my sister put it. Haha. Oh, and you may recognize those vintage woven flats from a previous Thrifted Thursday post.
