Sometimes you just need to wear a ginormous bow tie. So that’s exactly what I did on a recent jaunt to Palm Desert. See more of this bold look after the jump!

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well … Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:13-14, 16

This beautiful, jumbo kente-patterned bow tie is from Billie Jean Bowties & Designs. It just screams, “Boo-yaaoooww! I’ve arrived.” By now, you’re probably well aware that I’m a huge fan of bows and bow ties. My mantra is, of course, the bigger the better, which is evident in the sheer size of this accessory. I had never seen anything quite like it, so I had to have it. There’s something special about the freedom of expression afforded by that which you choose to adorn yourself, and I’m embracing my individuality with this outfit. After all, we were all created by the Master himself, God, who handcrafted us before we even entered our mothers’ wombs. Imagine that! In the new year, I plan to get even bolder with my fashion and honing my uniquely me style. Get ready, get ready, get ready!
