It’s officially sweater weather in Los Angeles, and I don’t know whether to smile or sulk. Summer’s the best, and unfortunately, she’s long gone. For the sake of these pictures, I’m doing the former — all smiles on a Sunday afternoon. In this Outfit of the Day, I’m coping with the colder temps by layering and lightening the mood with bursts of rich color. See more of this fall look after the jump!
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither — whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:3
I realize that as much as I complain about the temporal season, I am actually in a spiritual season of growth, producing and joy. And I’m so grateful for that. God’s got my back. That’s why I rejoice when I read scriptures like the one above; even though the circumstances before my eyes are by no stretch of the imagination optimal, I believe that I continue to prosper and be blessed. And you know, what? I really am. For starters, my amazing job gave all of us staff members new TOMS. Yes, I got these kicks (normally $50+ or so) for free 99! You can see those bright little orange-and-blue numbers on my feet in this post. I threw the scarf into the mix because, why not? The multicolored wrap echoes the hues found in the shoes, and I never need an excuse to rock a big bow. Here’s to a great week of blessings ahead!
