Natural Hair Journey: Twist-Out With Middle Part

This past week I tried something different! After washing and conditioning my hair, I set it in two-strand twists with a center part. No biggie to the average person, but it was a huge leap for me to break from the norm and do a new thing. In the past I just didn’t like the way the middle part looked on me. But I believe I’ve turned over a new leaf, because when I began unraveling my twists I found that I looked kinda fly (if I can say so myself). The above captures the range of emotions I felt throughout the process. That and I wanted an excuse to post my many and varied “faces.” You’re welcome.

Love it! I am experimenting with my part now, too! It’s hard to see yourself objectively with a new style even if it’s as subtle as a switch of the part … you look gorj! x

I know, right?! The middle part and I have had such a love-hate relationship throughout the years. Thanks, lovey!
