One of the Mexican dishes I had yet to prepare from scratch was fajitas. That all changed yesterday. With some pre-seasoned (frozen) carne asada, fresh onions and bell peppers, flour tortillas and seasoning, I set off on this kitchen adventure. See the finished plate after the jump.
The fajitas tasted decent, but I think they’d be much more flavorful if the meat isn’t left frozen too long. Next time, I’ll definitely prepare them with fresh carne asada and marinade the meat on my own.
Some lessons learned, but the steak and veggies look pretty pleasing to the eye here.
